New Product Inspiration

“If I’d asked people what they wanted they’d have said faster horses.” Henry Ford.

The quote comes courtesy of an excellent paper from the STL consultancy who sponsor the Telco 2.0 site. The paper’s a bit pricy at £4950 for a group license but cheap if you’re a telco 1.0 type company in need of some good advice. For the rest of us, there’s free interesting and smart stuff on Telepocalypse, the blog of STL consultant Martin Geddes.

I blogged previously that market research would never have led to VisiCalc and on how I got the idea for Glue.  Henry was right about this.
