Bruiser on Top of Vermont
Bruiser is sitting on the brass plate marking the 4393 foot (1339m) top of Vermont on Mt. Mansfield. He didn't make it on his first try from the north because he couldn't scramble up the cliff which forms the chin 60 feet from the top.
His second assault was on the easier trail from the southwest.
A picture of the spot is on a Google map. Click the pushpin on the map to see Bruiser again.

Bill:
We hiked up the Sunset Ridge Trail from Underhill State Park - not sure they let dogs in the gondola.
The time we didn't make it we came south on the Long Trail from where it crosses the Mountain Road.

Nice view. Did you take the toll road, gondola, or hike to the summit?
