hackoff.com Now Available in PDF Format
Some of you have said that you'd prefer to read my novel hackoff.com: an historic murder mystery set in the Internet bubble and rubble in downloadable PDF form rather than as a blook (book on a blog).
Glad to oblige. The first chapter is now available as a free PDF here (subsequent chapters will also be free) under a Creative Commons license. The blook form is here. And the faux company website for the fictional company hackoff.com is here.
If you'd prefer to receive episodes by email, just click here to subscribe and/or enter a contest which includes free gifts from thinkgeek.com.
If you read blogs in an RSS reader like Bloglines or NewsGator, then just click here to subscribe to hackoff.com as a feed.
Hardcover edition due early next year (but not free).
BTW, corrections have been made to the PDF reflecting "bug reports" from the blogged version. So the concept of the blook as a beta version of the book is working for me.
Please keep up the feedback both about the story and the means of presentation.
