Kindness of Friends

A few days ago I got an email from a stranger named Faisal Premji.  He wrote:

Tom-

I'm an avid reader of your blog and most recently, your blook.  Great work!

I took the liberty of registering fractalsofchange.com, as I saw it was unregistered.  Please, if you have a registrar of choice, put in for a domain transfer and I will authorize the transfer to you immediately.

It would be a shame if the goodwill you've built up in the FoC name with your wonderful blog was sullied by an unscrupulous cybersquatter....better to register than not!

loved the Lessons from the Crypt series btw!

Regards,

faisal

I thanked him for correcting my dumb mistake and, of course, offered to reimburse his registration fees.  He answered:

Tom-

It's on me....I can't even begin to repay you for your gifts to me and to the world.

Keep on bloggin' :)

faisal

I’m touched.  Thank you, Faisal.
